13 Point Program to Regrow America
13 Point Program to Regrow America!
-Peter Glantz and Meredith Stern
As the garlic scapes sprout forth wipe your forehead with the euphoric richness of the earthy dream, and the earliness of the day innoculates your seeds with the promise of life away from empire, summon forth your new seedlings of resistance, wipe the sleepies from your weepies and compost this ground, The Nation Of Gardeners, to the space of taste in your yard, kitchen window box, porch, or rooftop. It will guide you to embrace your repressed instincts which will harmonize you with the circular world, and we will be in the front lines of peace and radical social change when we banish the bureaucrats and sing, “Plant, which is the greatest dream, as it gives you life, as it restores your wisdom.” Plant is a drug, a life like state, which creatures burrow themselves into like a tunnel, and it is to us an exquisite condition which must be attained.
Tips For Appreciating Plant’s Life-Like Grip:
1. The Instinct: Turn Your Soil. While the birds chirp, bound to their feeding ritual, we shall turn.
2. The Feed: Compost Your Ground. The decaying Feces of Horses and Camels flavor the land.
3. The Mission: Plant Your Seed. “Gardeners, Gardeners, Little Vegetables, Beloved By All.”
4. The Perennials: Water Your Garden. The vegetables once drab and thirsty in the grocery store, now dress in their fresh watery garb and leap excitedly into your mouth.
5. The Party: Harvest The Yield. The Taste of New America, The Nation of Gardeners. Plants will revive your love and energize your mind for the eternal waking state, anonymous as it is with the Gardeners State.
Discover that the Flavor is Real. Discover, discover, discover, within us all the Nation of Gardeners must climb the fence, cut the locks, and reclaim the vacant land!
1.Plants Love Music. You Love Music. Plants and You make Spectra-Sonic Sounds Together.

Death Waltz
This print is inspired by a dream I was having about dancing with demons. Ultimately, womankind is clutching death around its neck. Inspired by the story of Faust, and by Kathe Kollwitz series of grieving women in wartime. My friend Ari saw this print and was instantly reminded of a poem written by German poet Paul Celan called “Death Fugue”. Upon reading the poem, I realized it is an amazing written parallel to the visual sentiment of the piece. 24″ x 40″. Print is available for sale on Justseeds website. Purchase here.
Community Controlled Housing
This is the largest print I have made to date. It is 24″ x 48″. A series of people are migrating into a city with information and quotes about housing. This is a response to the continued worldwide shortage of adequate and affordable housing. The print is available for purchase at Justseeds. Purchase here.
The text in this piece:
“The United Nations Center for Human Settlements has estimated that worldwide in urban areas alone 1.1 billion people are living in inadequate housing.”
“Over 13 million households in the U.S. pay more than 50% of their income for housing.”
“We need Collective Community Controlled Housing.”
Article 11 (1) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, states that we “recognize the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions.”
Struggling Towards Utopia
Education is a Right
This is a three color reduction linoleum block print. 24″ x 40″. This print was made possible in part from a Puffin Foundation Grant. The original edition is sold out, but there is a one color edition available for purchase here. This print was part of a series which includes other prints about access to healthcare, housing, and healthy foods. The text in the print are some thoughts on improving the education system. Printed on a thin, beautiful, hand made rice paper. The print reads, “Fight for a just education system.” The balloons are printed with several key values that I wanted to highlight as necessary for improving our schools including: “multi-lingual teaching, teaching methods that value all cultures, celebrating leadership and history of people of color, racial equality in schools; quality of facilites; and hiring of teachers, and oral story telling traditions appreciated.” I wanted to make a print that addressed the systemic, institutionalized racism that exists in the American school systems, and present a print that celebrated a better value system for improving the quality of education that we should be giving to every single child in our society.
Mend
This is a three color reduction cut linoleum block print. 24″ x 34″. 2011. Another print about friends making something together, these two cats are sewing and mending a quilt together. As Ghandi says, “be the change you want to see in the world”. This print is about mending friendships, relationships, and material things. This is a part of a series of prints featuring cats engaged in mutual aid activities. Other prints in this series are “Moon Garden”, “Cooperation Cats”, “Harvest”, and “Foraging for Food”. Print is available for purchase here.
Just Once
This is a three color reduction linoleum block print which was printed on a Vandercook Press in 2003. The printed edition is sold out. This print is about service industry culture and the great divide in our country between a small group of people who rely on the labor of other people to manage their basis food and cleaning needs and the majority of us who manage both their needs and our own.
