Community Controlled Housing

This is the largest print I have made to date.  It is 24″ x 48″.  A series of people are migrating into a city with information and quotes about housing.  This is a response to the continued worldwide shortage of adequate and affordable housing.  The print is available for purchase at Justseeds. Purchase here.

The text in this piece:

“The United Nations Center for Human Settlements has estimated that worldwide in urban areas alone 1.1 billion people are living in inadequate housing.”

“Over 13 million households in the U.S. pay more than 50% of their income for housing.”

“We need Collective Community Controlled Housing.”

Article 11 (1) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, states that we “recognize the right of everyone to an adequate standard of living for himself and his family, including adequate food, clothing and housing, and to the continuous improvement of living conditions.”
